POLL: Sports Personality of the Year 2014

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year award ceremony takes place tonight for an astonishing 60th time.

Voting is currently underway for one of the most prestigious awards a British sportsman or woman can win.

Just for a bit of fun I want to know who all of you would like to see win the award later on tonight.

Lewis Hamilton and Rory McIlroy are by far the two favourites to win the award.

I personally would choose the golfer, despite my interest in motorsport. To become only the third player to have won all three majors before the age of 25 is a huge achievement, especially after the horrid time he had in 2013.

That’s not taking anything away from Hamilton’s ability behind the wheel of an F1 car. He has had a great season in his Mercedes and fully deserved his title.

That’s just my opinion though. I want to know which of the two you would like to pick up the award tonight.

Take the poll below and let me know your thoughts!
