Deadline Day: Falcao in Manchester for Medical as Welbeck heads to Arsenal

Radamel Falcao has arrived in Manchester and is currently on his way to Carrington Training Ground for his medical.

As I mentioned earlier on today, United have agreed a deal with Monaco to sign the striker on a season-long loan.

United will pay £6m for the loan-deal with a view to a permanent deal at the end of the season. The transfer fee at that time will be around £44m for the Colombian.

Welbeck could be on his way out of United

As Falcao prepares to join the Premier League club, it seems that another striker may be leaving Old Trafford.

Danny Welbeck has been the subject of many transfer rumours throughout this window and he is now rumoured to be having a medical at the Emirates Stadium ahead of a move to Arsenal.

This as come as some surprise to many as London rivals, Tottenham, were the favourites to sign the England International.

Welbeck is the second striker to leave Manchester United today after Javier Hernandez joined Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.

*UPDATE: ARSENAL NOW SAY THAT NO MEDICAL HAS TAKEN PLACE AND THAT NO DEAL HAS BEEN AGREED WITH MANCHESTER UNITED.*

It will be interesting to see how Falcao settles into playing football in the premier league. I have followed him a lot since I am a Colombian resident. I suppose you could see him like a ‘Costa’ for Chelsea fitting. I think he’s a tad overrated, but I hope he helps MANU turn things around.
