WWE SummerSlam Predictions Part Two

Welcome to the second part of my predictions for tonight’s big WWE Pay-Per-View SummerSlam.

In part one I looked at the WWE Title match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, along with the highly anticipated Lumberjack match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose.

I also gave my thoughts on the match between Randy Orton and the star that is currently getting a major push within the company, Roman Reigns.

I will now give my insight and predictions for the remaining matches that will take place in LA tonight.

Brie Bella VS Stephanie McMahon
This is the match that has been given the main event slot on Raw for two out of the last three weeks, which shows just how seriously the company are taking it. It is a storyline that I have certainly enjoyed and it is going to be interesting just how the WWE chose to work this match.

It has been a very long time since McMahon has been in a ring but lets be honest, she was never really an ‘active’ wrestler in the first place, despite holding the Woman’s Championship back in the day. She has however been training with one of the best in her husband Triple H. As for Brie, she is fighting for everybody that The Authority have bullied over the past year, including the likes of Big Show, The Rhodes Family and Vicki Guerrero. This was a nice touch to add to the storyline and the promo work. The only mistake they have used so far in the storyline is the somewhat distasteful angle of Daniel Bryan cheating on Brie. There was not point in that being added to be honest. It is hard to call this one but you have to feel that McMahon will somehow come out on top thanks to The Authority. I just hope these rumours about Nikki Bella turning on her sister are not true.

Winner – Stephanie McMahon

Bray Wyatt VS Chris Jericho
Now here is a feud that I have found it really hard to actually get into and find interesting. The pair have already fought each other at Battleground in a less than entertaining match but the feud continued the next day on Raw when Wyatt attacked Jericho in the locker room. To me the whole story has just seemed flat and that it has been a huge set-back for Wyatt.

After his mega feud with John Cena, it was looking like Wyatt was about to receive a huge push by the company and become one of the major heels, despite more and more fans beginning to cheer him. He was even involved in the WWE Title match at Money in the Bank before this feud. This match needs to be the end of this battle and it has to be a win for Wyatt if the company are serious about the his gimmick. Jericho is at the stage in his career where it doesn’t really matter if he wins or loses and he is a big name in wrestling so a win for Wyatt will do him the world of good. The rest of the Wyatt Family are banned from ringside but I still think that some form of distraction will cost Jericho the win.

Winner – Bray Wyatt

Intercontinental Title – The Miz VS Dolph Ziggler
Finally we have an actual rivalry for the Intercontinental Title! It has been too long since we have had a serious contender for the legendary belt. The feud itself has been quite interesting so far and I have to say that I am enjoying the new ‘movie-star’ gimmick that the WWE have given Miz. He works so much better as a proper heel rather than a superstar that is stuck in the middle with no real identity. As for Ziggler, it is good to see that the creative team are finally giving the former Heavyweight Champion the chance to prove himself one again.

As for the match itself, I can actually see the title changing hands. Ziggler has been waiting too long for his chance to push himself back up the card and this will be the perfect step for him. The pair are both good wrestlers so match itself should be entertaining enough and the fans will certainly get involved as they boo The Miz and cheer for Ziggler. It would make sense for The Miz so lose and then come out on Raw full of excuses and demanding a rematch. Or they could go the other way and Miz could say that he is too big for that title anyway…

Winner – Dolph Ziggler

Other Match Winners
Flag Match – Jack Swagger
Divas Title – AJ Lee
Pre-Show – Rob Van Dam

Feel free to let me know your thoughts and predictions for these matches!
