Poll: The 2014 World Cup Final

The 2014 World Cup reaches it’s conclusion tonight as Germany take on Argentina in a battle to become champions of the world.

Over the past month we have witnessed some great football, with plenty of shocks and surprises along the way.

Thomas Muller is looking for his second Golden Boot award

We have seen the mighty nations of Spain and Brazil crumble dramatically and we have seen the rise of the smaller nations in Colombia and Costa Rica.

Unfortunately we also witnessed England go out in the group stages for the first time in over 50 years, but the likes of Italy and Portugal also joined us on the early flight home.

There have been plenty of twists and turns but in the end it was the Germans and Lionel Messi’s Argentina that managed to make it to the final.

Argentina have arguably made it this far thanks to the pure talent of Messi. He dragged them through the group stages with four goals before setting up Angel Di Maria in the 118th minute in the last-16 tie with Switzerland.

As for Germany, they have been successful thanks to the efforts of all the players. Their midfield is really strong, with the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Toni Kroos and Mesut Ozil dominating the possession.

Many believe that Argentina are a one man team

They also have Thomas Muller gunning for the Golden Boot for the second successive tournament, something that has never before been accomplished.

Like Argentina, the Germans did push their luck at times throughout the competition, especially against Algeria in the last-16 but they do look like more of a complete package.

The Germans will also be full of confidence after crushing Brazil 7-1 in the semi-finals, but this could also be a set-back if they act to cocky in tonight’s match.

People are labelling tonight’s match as Germany vs Messi…… but what do you all think? Take my poll below and let me know who you think will win the 2014 World Cup!
