England take on Uruguay tonight in what has to be considered as a must-win game for Roy Hodgson’s side.
Having lost their opener against Italy, England will need to avoid defeat in order to have a chance of progressing to the knock-out stages of the World Cup.
Uruguay are in the exact same situation as England, as they slipped to a shocking 3-1 defeat against Costa Rica in their first match.
Uruguay’s confidence will have been boosted by the news of Luis Suarez’s return from injury.
England fans know all too well how much of a threat Suarez can be and the defence will have to play much better tonight then they did against England.
Rooney is expected to return to a more central role, with Raheem Sterling going onto the right-wing and either Danny Welbeck or Adam Lallana going onto the left.
Rooney will be under pressure tonight that is for sure, with the Manchester United striker having still not scored a single World Cup goal.
With all this in mind, what do you all think will happen tonight? Can England defeat Uruguay? Or will they be joining Spain at the airport? Take the poll below and let me know!
