Tottenham sack Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Andre Villas-Boas following a disappointing start to the season.

The decision comes following yesterday’s 5-0 home defeat against Liverpool, where Spurs did not even have a single shot on-target.

Spurs also suffered a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City and have not been clinical in front of goal all season.

Tottenham have released a small statement on their official website:

“The Club can announce that agreement has been reached with Head Coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services. The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties.”

AVB has been sacked

Was this worth it Tottenham? A manager who had one of the highest winning percentages as a spurs manager?

Its a hard one to call. A once decent Spurs side has been ripped apart over the past three years. I am still sure that AVB wasn’t behind the nine or ten new signings in the summer. That many new players was never going to work in my opinion, not in this short space of time anyways.

      Thanks for the comment 🙂
