Manchester United have seen their offer for Athletic Bilbao Midfielder, Ander Herrera rejected.
It is believed that United offered the Spanish club around £25million for their star player.
The 24-year-old has produced some impressive performances over the past two seasons, including two against United in the Europa League.
Herrera’s contract does have a release clause, believed to be around the £30million mark. It will be interesting to see if United make a second bid nearer to that price.
Today’s rejection just adds to the frustrating summer that new United manager, David Moyes, has suffered.
The likes of Cesc Fabregas and Thiago have turned down the chance of joining United, whilst Everton have also turned down bids for Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini from the Premier League champions.
With only a few days remaining in the transfer market, the pressure is piling on Moyes to make some signings. United are desperate to add some quality to their squad, especially in midfield.
