Norwich have today completed the signing of Johan Elmander on a season-long loan.
The 32-year-old joins Norwich from Turkish side, Galatasaray. Elmander is the third striker that Norwich have signed this summer, with Gary Hooper and Ricky Van Wolfswinkel also joining the Canaries.
The Swedish international has played in the Premier League before, scoring 18 goals in 92 appearances for Bolton Wanderers. The striker left Bolton to join Galatasaray in 2011 after his contract had expired.
Elmander’s experience in the Premier League is one of the reasons why Norwich manager, Chris Hughton, was keen on signing him.
“I’m really delighted to bring in a player of Johan’s experience, not only at club and Premier League level but as a current international.”
Elmander should be available for Norwich’s next league game, away to Hull City, this Saturday.
