Transfer News – Chelsea preparing second Rooney bid

Reports today are suggesting that Chelsea are going to make an improved offer for Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney.

José Mourinho wants to make Rooney his number one striker at Stamford Bridge, and the London club’s new bid is believed to be around the £40million mark.

With David Moyes publically stating that Robin Van Persie is the number one striker at United, many believe that Rooney would be very interested in joining Chelsea.

Wayne Rooney has had enough at Man United

In my opinion, and I have said this before, I think that United should sell Rooney, even if it is to a rival club in the Premiership.

It is clear that Rooney is not happy at United anymore and hasn’t been for some time. Two transfer requests in three years says it all.

He has disrespected the club and thinks he is bigger than Manchester United. Having a player at the club, who doesn’t want to be there can never be a good thing.

United could do with the money ….. Maybe it will give Moyes some motivation to actually sign somebody in this transfer market.

I don’t see what he would add to Chelsea to be honest. He will do well for a season, kick up a fuss and move on. They would be better going for someone in Europe than an over-priced whinger.

Yeah to be fair if I was a Chelsea fan I wouldn’t want my team to spend £40million on somebody like Rooney. His fitness is questionable just like his mood swings are!!
