Football League Results – League One

Leyton Orient produced the performance of the day in League One, beating Carlisle 5-1. The O’s were already winning 1-0 when Carlisle player, Lee Miller was shown a red card for a foul on Nathan Clarke with still over an hour of the game to go. Orient took full advantage, going on to score four more goals, two of which were scored by Dean Cox.

Crawley Town managed to hold off a fight-back from Coventry to win 3-2. The Red Devils were 2-0 up after 21minutes, with Jamie Proctor and Joe Walsh getting the goals. Coventry fought back in the second half, with goals from Callum Wilson and Franck Moussa levelling up the score line. Crawley had the last laugh however, with Mike Jones getting the winning goal in the 84th minute.

The most entertaining game of the day took place at Broadhall Way. Oldham eventually ran out winners in a seven-goal thriller against Stevenage, with the game finishing 4-3. Oldham midfielder, Jose Baxter got the winning goal in the 88th minute, tucking away his penalty.
